Is he really annoying?
Is he good friend of yours?
You should say in the beginning - sorry, but you are annoying from time to time.
I think you shouldn't need to apologize if you are good friends. That usually means that you can be open to each other and that you don't have to say sorry to follow the form, but only when you feel sorry.
He asked for hones opinion and he should be capable to handle it and have some use of your honesty, actually.
He shouldn't be angry, but thankful and trying to change that about him. Or, if he doesn't want to change, simply to be happy that have someone honest enough to tell him the truth.

No way Jose!! Your name IS Jose, right? Hehe
Back to the point. . . the fact of the matter is he ASKED for your opinion. He shouldn't have asked if he didn't want an honest answer and you being his freind, should give him an honest answer. You shouldn't have to handle him with kids gloves. He's a big boy. If he wanted someone that would sugar coat and tell him what he WANTED to hear, he should have asked his mother. You can tell him you're sorry what you said offended him, but in all fairness, you did nothing wrong. Good luck!

Your friend asked you for your opinion. An opinion is never right or wrong, it's just how you feel about something. If he can't except constructive criticism, then why the hell did he ask you in the first place? I don't think you should apologize to him, because you were honest, and honesty is an important part of friendship.

He wanted your opinion and you gave it. You shouldn't be sorry at all. No-one is perfect and if you ask a question like that, you're bound to get an answer that you don't like so it's tough on him.
At least you didn't say he was annoying all the time!!

Well, when I post responses on here, I will get some thumbs down for being totaly honest. A lot of people don't really like honesty when it comes to answering questions about them that can be somewhat offensive although true. I don't think you should appolgize, but you can say, "look, you asked me a question and if I wasn't your friend, I wouldn't be honest with you. You're still my friend and I will back you up whenever neccessary, but I will be honest when you ask me a question." if he still acts like a baby, then be honest and say, "tell you what, don't ask me questiosn like that anymore, okay?"

Yes not for what you said but in the sense of how you said it remind him that though you may have hurt his feelings by telling the truth that he asked for your opinion and you were being honest and sometimes honesty hurts but also try to remind him that he is a good friend regardless but that he has his moments like anyone else

honestly when people say to be truthful about things like that they want to hear a certain answer and more then often they never get that answer. its always hard to deal with those kinds of questions. because of course you cant read minds. but if this friend is a close one that you dont want to lose. Sorry is always the way to go, but make sure they know that you never meant to offend them.

I'd say sorry just for the sake of your friendship. But I'd also remind him that he asked and you gave your honest answer. I'd tell him that he doesn't want to know the truth to these type of questions then he shouldn't ask them anymore.

Even though you have nothing to say sorry for, since he asked for it, but sometimes you need to put the pride and stubbornes away. What I would is, I would say, I didn't know you going to take so hard, why are you even getting mad we are all very annoying, including me.
