the USA is slowly using up the worlds oil as more countries around the world come to depend on oil and gas. when the "tipping point" comes we start drilling in alaska and thereby breaking the back of the opec nations. we would be in the catbirds seat then. maybe we have a fifty year plan like china?

Why is it never mentioned that in the United States, with shale, and other resources, that we have enough oil for every man, woman, and child for the next three hundred years!
Drive through Texas some time and look at all the oil rigs with pumps, that are NOT pumping oil! What are they saving it for?
The oil companies here in this country would go broke because of the influx of oil.if they did use the oil here! If it is coming from other countries, they can rob us blind here at the gas pump!
How much is a gallon of gas now? I rest my case!

Uhhh... no? Alaska doesn't have enough oil for the US, much less the world. In fact, the US, if it was drilling all known oil fields, would barely be able to keep up with its own demand without importing oil.
