Well first of all, LeBron is still better than D Wade, and Carmelo Anthony is very, very overrated. Melo's an All Star, but nothing more than that. If by "superceding" you mean miss a good chunk of the year with injuries and get demolished in the first round of the playoffs, then yes, Wade "superceded" LeBron, although I think LeBrons playoff run speaks for itself. Wade has always been better than Carmleo Anthony though. Come on, Chris Bosh is way better then Melo, and nobody talks about him.
Anyway, I would say that this years "dark horse" if you could even call it that, because Durant and Oden are going to be Hall of Famers, like Wade and LeBron, then I would say Mike Conley Jr. the Point Guard from Ohio State. Hes been in Odens shadow and was a main reason OSU won so much in the tourney. He made a huge clutch shot at the end of regulation to beat Wisconsin in the regular season for the Big Ten Title, and was probably the best player in the tourney in 2007.

Jared Dudley from BC. He won't surpass Durant, but neither has Wade surpassed LeBron. Wade has just vaulted himself up into the same echelon as LeBron, which is a big deal because NOBODY saw it coming. I don't understand why VERY GOOD college players like Dudley and Wade don't get any draft love. I don't even like BC, but even I can see that Dudley is one of those guys who just succeeds everywhere he goes with a great work ethic and a very diverse skill set.

Corey Brewer, who I think will be the 6th pick of the NBA Draft. He has alot of talent, just not enough recognition. If he went to college, he would definitely be in the top 3 in the coming drafts. He will contribute to the Milwaukee Bucks just like how Dwayne Wade did to the Miami Heat. If not Rookie of the Year, he will most likely be runner up. Expect him to make a huge impact.

Mike Conley Jr.
He's as good as Chris Paul.
In all reality, though, Kevin Durant will have a bigger impact than LeBron James. So, there won't be a darkhorse, who surpasses Durant.
