Were you on your way TO someplace, or going home? How long did it take for the airline to locate it?

I have-- both on my way out and on my way home, and on separate occasions. It sucks!
The airline brought me my luggage every time (it's happened at least 3 times now) but it was usually at least a day before I got my stuff back.
And it was always Northwest Airlines losing my luggage-- I've never had any trouble on any other airline.

A few months ago, we went to the Philippines for a vacation. When we checked in at LA, there was two flights with the same airlines as ours, that was an hour apart. When we arrived to the Philippines, they informed us that one of our luggage was lost. The airlines just informed us that they'll give us a call once they retrieve it. They finally found it 3 hours later. They said it got mixed with the luggage from the other plane which departed an hour before we did in LA.

My luggage was lost on the WAY TO Costa Rica. I got it 1 day later and about 5 items were stolen from it. The things that were stolen all had tags on them, so my advice is to take the tags off of new stuff before you pack it!

my luggage was lost on the way to Berlin. I got it 3 days later.

I have. When I was a child though.
Well, it wasn't my luggage, it was the family's luggage that included stuff like food and hair appliances.
Nothing much.

I've traveled internationally several times and never has my luggage been lost.

I had mine lost once and it was located and returned to me the next day. Nothing was missing from it.

not really lost just delayed- going to Colorado- they brought it to my hotel within about 4-5 hours no big deal- guess I was lucky!

i don`t. I've traveled alot and thank god, haven`t lost my luggage yet.
