Yep, pretty well hehe! Today I have cooked with red onions - there are two kinds ( one kind is real hot) and Australian onions (yellowish). There are white onions which are good for salads and sandwiches etc, then there are spring onions, which are also great with some recipes and then you have pearl onions, great for pickling. Shallots- a chef's delight. There is more too.

I can only identify one onion. It is the Vidalia onion grown only in Vidalia County, Georgia. They are so white and so sweet and since I was a little girl revered as the one to have. I don't know anything about the others, except for what they are not.

Onion adds best flavour to food...but bad for breath..so i avoid when i am dating someone....!
I like lots of Spring onions in my food.

I know my favorite....Vadalias. I also like green onions cuz I do a lot of cooking with the green part (chives)
