My husband and I are having a slight issue with naming our newborn twin sons. We both agree on the name Benjamin for one of the twins, but my husband wants to name our other son Benson, but I don't really like that name. Plus our sons are idetical so I think we shouldn't give them rythming names or names that could give them the same nickname. I also think it would give them an easier time finding there individuality if their names weren't very similar. What do you think?

I agree with you. I think you should name one Benjamin and one something else that doesn't sound the same.

I agree with you. I don't care for the name Benson and it's too similar to Benjamin for twins names.

Benjamin isn't bad, but i don't like Benson too much. & i completely agree with you, they shouldn't have the same nickname or rhyming name. It'll just confuse them considering they already have such a close bond with one another. And although they are twins, you don't really want them to be exactly the same all the time.

GOOD LUCKK !!

I don't like Benson at all. And yeah I hate when parents give twins simalar or rhyming names. Because I think that if I were a twin I would want to be considered my own person, and that is harder when your name rhymes with your sister or brothers.

Definitely not a fan of rhyming names, nor the name Benson. If it has to be a "B" try Brayden, Brendan, Bryce or Bryson. Good luck! And he could always use Benson as a middle name.

I also like Benjamin but not Benson and if they are identicle they need to have different names, its will give them there own individuality. I wouldnt even go with another "B" name for the second twin.
I like the names:

Alexander
Kevin
Jonathan
Wesley
Zachary

I agree with you 100%, especially since both their nicknames will be Ben. If he really likes matchy-matchy names for twins, you could always match meanings. For instance, Benjamin means 'son of my right hand'. Other names that have a simalir meaning (son of..) are:

Dawson
Davis
Edison
Garrison
Addison

Or, like you said, you can just use another name that you just happen to like. Either way, Ben & Ben for identical twins are a little to much (for me anyway).

Please do not give them rhyming names or names that sound similar. I think it is important to give twins individuality.

How about Benjamin and Noah or Benjamin and Joshua or Benjamin and Jason.

I recently saw on the news identical Quadruplets (a rarity!!!) and they all had different names that did not sound similar or rhyme in any way.

I don't like Benson either. Just b/c they're twins doesn't mean they're names have to be alike.
How about Andrew for the other twin?
