There's the steady state theory, which has fallen out of favor due to the large amount of evidence supporting the big bang theory. But those are the only scientific theories. Other people have religious ideas they like to refer to as scientific theories, but since they are neither testable, predictive, or falsifiable, they do not fall under the realm of science.

As many have said, only the BBT is in fact a testable, predictable, falsifiable theory...all the rest are missing some of these prerequisites to qualify as theory. However, even the BBT fails to capture the actual birthing of our universe...time zero, so to speak.

There are WAGs (aka hypotheses) that spin off string/M theory. Some stringers have posited parallel universes that exist in higher dimensions. Brian Greene, in his "Elegant Universe," illustrates these as slices of bread in a mega loaf of all universes. String theory supports this conjecture in that it suggests 10 or 11 dimensions rather than just the four of our universe. [NB: Using "theory" in this context is misleading, but commonplace terminology.]

Greene further suggests one possible scenerio for the birth of our universe. He suggests two of the parallel universes, normally separated by a Plank length along one or more dimensions, collide. In colliding, their momenta are radically changed letting loose all the energy we now call the Big Bang.

All this is more a silly WAG (a SWAG) than a WAG, but at least it's something. And the mathematics, if not the physics, indicates feasibility.

the only primary medical commencing place thought presently is "the massive Bang" as proposed by utilising LeMaitre decrease back interior the Nineteen Nineteen Twenties. The extra we learn, the fewer help there is for any of the different recommendations. (LeMaitre grow to be a Belgian astronomer and priest interior the Catholic Church, by utilising the way -- Edwin Hubble equipped his artwork on the comparable recommendations) Sir Fred Hoyle, a British astronomer who died interior the previous 2 many years nonetheless supported the "secure state" universe thought, yet few others nonetheless did and much less do on the instant. "And God pronounced, 'permit there be easy'" is that's called being properly suited with "the massive Bang"

There are no theories on the the universe came into existence. Big bang theory explains everything (incredibly well) a split-second after the universe came into existence. It is still the best theory out there although modifications are made every day (ie. inflation is now required).

There really aren't any other theories of the genesis of the Universe that are scientifically tested and testable.

The Big Bang meets both of those requirements.

Big Bang is impossible:

Life must come from Life
there is life on this planet so logically Big bang is nonsense how could there have been a time where this world had no life on it?
