Don't let them get you down. My sister is 15 and she has NEVER had any relationships in her whole life. Just say this: "I'm not interested in dating, and I don't feel that I need a girlfriend. I'm happy the way I am." And don't worry about the way they think of your orientation, it's their problem not yours. In fact...

I might be able to help you out.

Just tell them that you'd rather focus on other aspects of your life right now (i.e. career, education, personal well-being, etc.) rather than have a girlfriend. Just let them know that you're not ready for any commitment and want to focus your energy elsewhere. Good luck. But you do know that you will have to come out sooner or later.

This is merely a suggestion but if you're not ready to come out yet, do you have a female friend that would pretend to be your girlfriend in front of your dad?

Jesse, they might be bugging you to get a girlfriend because there is a sneaking suspicion that you are in fact gay. If that makes them nervous they might be pushing you in the other direction. If you don't want to tell them yet, that's fine. that will happen when it's time. i suggest you say you aren't interested in dating right now and you have other things to focus on.

Good luck Jesse.

I found out I was gay at 14. I told my family when I turned 15. Everyone couldn't take it.

They wanted me to get a GF too, but it got to the point where I was fuming. So...My dad asked "Any girlfriends?" and I rolled my eyes and replied:

"No, but there's this boy." Well...don't do that.

Thats a no no.

Tell them that you don't feel ready for dating right now, and when you are, you will let them know. You don't even need to mention anything about girls. Just stick with not being ready to date.

Just take your closest f** hag and have her pretend that you guys are dating. If you don't have any f** hags, then find one! This is gonna be about the only way you can hide this. Is to just find a girl to pretend with. If he asks you why you never kiss, say you do...you just like to do that stuff in private. Problem solved.

Sooner or later you are going to have to tell them, why don't you just get it over with. Sit down with both of them and tell them the truth.
