You'll need more than just the computer. The 3.4 is a 60 degree engine, the 3.8 is 90 degree. They are completely different platforms. You'll need to change the transmission, basically every ecm harness in the entire car, mounts, exhaust, etc. There would be almost nothing from the existing car will work with a 3.8. It could be done, but would be very complicated.

Depending in what state you are in, you might have to file paper work with the DMV and the police. In California when a different type engine is installed you have to go through the C.H.P.

Yes, along with the wiring harnesses for the motor. You might need the trans. and the fuel pressure lines as well as most of this stuff is not the same between motors.
