As soon as I mention the word "yahoo", "post" or half the other words you'd need to tell them about it, their eyes glaze over and I know I need to make a point quick and get off it.
So now I just grab interesting questions to use as conversation starters, without mentioning the source. This week's favorite question--who would win in a fight, Charles Dickens or Mark Twain? I don't remember who posted it, but there are some crowds where that will start a lively discussion.

Yes!!! I sometimes wanna be like "Today on Y/A ..." but then I think they're gonna laugh at me! I mentioned it once to my sister and she's like 'what the heck are you talking about?' so I just don't say anything. They're all Facebook addicts but I'm a Y/A addict! LOL!
And I would never want them to see some of the questions that I ask or answer, tee hee!

nah i don't talk about yahoo so it's my dirty secret i suppose. when there's nothing to do i sit on here stalking YOU my dear. your answers always make me chuckle. omg the girl wanting to eat her shoe... holy crap. i laughed so hard.
but the good thing about this place is there are SOME nice people on here that i've grown to like. and i at least made one friend... and she's better than me *wink wink*

Haha no. I go home to my fiancee, "Yeah, so today on Y!A, someone asked..." Haha, sad but true. And I've gotten some co-workers/friends addicted to it as well. So it's like, "Check out my question!" or "You have to read this question...".
We're that bored all day. =)

somtimes but at school we are aloud to use this site for looking for info but people go into the wrestling section because thts where i go in school and there like OMG MICKIE LEE!!! I NO HER! lol so i keep my profile on here real with everyone.. im not going to pretend to be someone i aint!

No, I broadcasted it to my family and it turned out my SIL is on here too. Haha...who knew! Neither one of us is an addict...yet...but we love it! :) I like the concept and I've needed help with stuff so why not contribute too. :)
