COME ON! SERIOUSLY!
I mean, if you are serious about worshiping the Dark Lord, isn't it a little--I don't know if I'm phrasing this right--but SILLY?! to buy it from a mainstream bookstore when Satanism is [mostly] about hedonism and rejecting the mainstream?
WTF?!

And not only do they carry the Satanic Bible, but also a 'companion book.'

Anton LaVey: WTF. Is this what you had in mind when you wrote the thing? Cuz I'm just laughing my *** off.

I'm surprised they even carry it, to tell you the truth. There is a little store down inthe hippie part of town that sells satanic stuff. I would suggest going there instead. At least the clerks will be knowlegeable in the subject matter

Actually, Satanism is usually more about following one's own path to what the individual perceives as fulfillment. If that involves buying a book from a certain place, that's fine and dandy. From what I've been told, though, there's no such thing as required reading for a Satanist. More than likely, they're just pointing and laughing at this entire thread. :P

Would it be better to buy it from a Satanic book store? What difference would it make where he bought the book? I don't think LaVey had Barnes & Noble in mind when he talked about the mainstream.

Hey, they're just trying to save a few bucks so they'll have to money to buy booze and sex toys. Satanists have to have their priorities straight! Hedonism sucks if you're broke.

Yeah, but mostly the curious are going to buy it. Not the hardcore. Also it is free on the internet, so why even bother with the 8.99 or whatever it is.

Satanism is dead. No future in it. Jesus reigns supreme.

I think this question is silly. It's only logical to purchase a book from a bookstore. That's all there is to it. It's a BOOKstore. Where you buy books.

Obviously a non-frugal Satanist. He can buy it on Amazon or Overstock for cheaper. Hell, he can even find it on eBay being sold by a born again Christian for even cheaper!
