I fail to see how a dude can be gay, and have a chick as his love interest. If a man is truly gay, from what I understand and not from experience, he has the hots for another man. If a man has the hots for a gal, then he is straighter than an Apache's arrow. Of course, I may have just totally misunderstood your question. Peace!

definition of gay as an adjective means happy or joyful so it means he is happy for her. maybe she is getting married or having a baby or got a new job and he is filled with jubilation for her and her situation
