ABILITY HANDS DOWN. Speaking from past experience in other jobs, diversity just leads to other issues...anything that is criticized because of lack of ability is automatically categorized as racism. Just my opinion.

Ability first. Diversity second. I think both are crucial to a well rounded company, but a person has to have the ability to do the job as well. I am not going to hire someone to meet a "Quota". That would not be fair to that person to be hired because of his race and not his ability. Another component though is compatibility. If I think a person who does have less ability, but is very compatible to the people in my company I will hire them.

Ability of course. I want the most quality in my job. I'm not going to hire someone based on color if thy can't do the job.

I consider ability with everyone that I interview. I have never been instructed by the higher ups to bring in more diversity.

I would hire the ability to get the job done. I have worked with incompetents and it bogs down the whole work place.

I would'nt "give" a job to satisfy diversity.
"Race" gets nothing special from me...attitude and skills earn the position.

Affirmative action SUCKS, I don't give a ratz azz what color you are, as long as you have the ability to get the job done my way....
