I can't afford to pay $200 for a valve the size of a box of matches ... looking for a company that has the size/scale to NOT have to charge me up the wazoo.

RainBird and others make them for garden sprinkler valves, in the US $10 range. Check large hardware stores or home improvement stores. That's the best I can offer without details or specs. Try searching online.

I work for a mechanic shop. We have some solenoid valves made by Braun Lift Company for under $100. Also have one made by International (part #43440001) for $80. It all depends on what they are used for. I also have some for $700.00. Again, it depends on what you are trying to do.
