no of course not, his trade demands are just code for improve the team. so lakers fans don't worry, there is possibly a 90% chance or higher that he will get traded and I don't even think he wants to be traded.

Eric M. your not with me, because you seem to be a kobe hater! and i'm definitely am a kobe fan and believe that kobe deserves a solid team around him so he can at least have a chance to win a championship with him as the head of the team.

What up Mr. Basketball,
i think deep down Kobe didn't want to be traded- but like me he's just saying what Laker fans have been thinking since the O'Neal trade.
For the Lakers to say they are committed to winning and putting a starting line up that includes: Smush Parker and Kwame Brown speaks volumes about their commitment to winning.
i wasn't worried about Kobe being traded but right now am nervous. Because if KG does go to Minnesota and the deal does not include Stoudemire- then we know that the Suns are pretty much unbeatable for a few years- and the Lakers don't have enough pieces to compete.
If i'm the Lakers though you have to keep Kobe because you can't trade him to Phoenix. Chicago was pretty clear they can't give you enough for him. And NY has nothing that is going to help your team except a bunch of large overpaid contracts- sorry Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury will not help this team.
So you've to wait at least next year to see if you can swing for something more- if it's inevitable that you aren't going to be anything more than a 1 and out team- and you know Kobe will walk- at that point you try to get something for him.
If Kobe decides he wants to sit out next year- you make him sit out two years so that he ends up looking like the bad guy- and you'll have the money he left on the table to attract some other free-agent- plus you'll be a lottery team so that brings the possibility of two impact players.
i feel and understand Kobe's frustrations, but he really went about handling this the wrong way. But i'm glad that people understand how bad a job Jimmy Buss and Mitch Kupchak are doing and the old man (Jerry Buss) has had his head out of it for a bit.
I'm with you though- i'm true Purple and Gold and if Kobe does get traded- you better get something back for him. Dang man if they could have pulled off the KG deal, even if Kobe wanted to be traded you'd still have something left.
I don't know man but i know they gotta do something and bring back the glory to LA man!
Go Lakers!

I'm with you. Kobe craves attention, and the spotlight, and he'll do anything to be in it, to put it simply. I also don't believe Kobe thinks he has the opportunity of winning a championship in L.A. - there's virtually little to no teamwork on that Lakers squad. From a technical standpoint, because it's KOBE, and he's known to be very clutch late in games, the emphasis isn't so much ON teamwork, but I don't think Kobe's getting it done any longer on that Lakers team. It's more or less time for the Lakers to rebuild, without Kobe. He's put the team through enough, he's had his great moments, but it's time to move on.

I would love for him to be traded, then I could be a Laker fan again.

Your're right, I'm not a Laker fan.......anymore. Was a Laker fan for most of my life, going way back. Even named one of my girls Laker. She is the only person I know or anyone who knows her with the name of Laker. She played 5th grade B ball last year and her team was undefeated, her school colors are purple and gold. Anyway that's kind of off track.
I can't stand Kobe for many reasons and I look foward for the day he is gone so I can be a Laker fan again. I wouldn't care how bad they are. If Kobe doesn't go.....well I would still have a Laker at home I can cheer for.

Also noone wants him, or needs him
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
noone needs him. Bulls dont need him cause they have a young and coming team,Timberwolves want GOOD young people that the Lakers cant offer, every other team is in the rebuilding process, and dont need a superstar causing havoc like he did with the Laker. Do you really think a team wants someone that speaks out against the team, and the coach, hes selffish, and a poison to to the Lakers.

definite he needs a commerce because of the fact he blames all and sundry yet himself yet whilst they win he needs the huge distinction i'm hoping he is going to charlotte so MJ can tell him how a lot money he makes and has his destiny in his palms. which would be hilarious. i think of Kobe will finally end up in Sacramento because of the fact Sac city is prepared to area with draft selections and ron artest for him
