I am only 14 and got my period about a year ago. I am going to my lakehouse with a bunch of friends this weekend and we will be swimming a lot! I absolutely hate tampons and I want to try to delay my period until next week. I will not take pills or wierd stuff like I have been seeing! I heard that if you stress or work out a lot it might delay. How much do I have to work out? I was supposed to get it 2 days ago, but I guess my stress has delayed it for right now. I need to keep it from coming for the next 4 days! What should I do?

You really can't. Why do you hate tampons so much? Do they hurt? because they are not supposed to. Try using a slender fit tampon.

Look, when you hear about exercising delaying periods, thats over time when women become extremely lean. Scratch that option honey.

Plus, since you've gotten your period only in the past year, its still working out its normal regular flow. That'll take a few years.

Tampon are your only option honey. Just learn to deal with them. Start with a smaller brand and type.
