I propose that we celebrate Our Nations Founding. By having a temporary end to this ridiculous name-calling craze. That BOTH sides are doing!!
Every one agrees that it's not getting results. It's only preaching to ones that agree with your ideas. What kind of results do you hope to gain by that?
And the avid name-callers are mostly Kids. Since there are actually a few adults, on this site? Why not show some pride in this Nation. And put the name-calling away for one week? Seven Days, is all I ask!

Between July 1st, Through July 7th. I ask that we all stay from the temptation of badgering the other Party. And act like we have some respect for our fellow Americans. At a time to be celebrating our Nations Birthday!

Now I don't expect all to follow along. I ask that we stay clear of anyone who doesn't agree with this. Ask or answer, only questions that show Pride in the U.S.A.
A Show of unity on Our Nations begining!

What about think?

There is no need to reply here! Just getting the message out. Will get the end result.
We have a few days to spread the word.

Are you willing?

Wow, are you running for president or maybe just a idealist.
Name calling has been a standard in politics since they divided into the D and Gop parties. Now we have liberals, conservatives, and omg the list goes on. What I am waiting for is the party that is just Americans. The majority of the people that in a democracy is the controlling power. Right now the baby boomer constitutes 77% of the total population of this country. Wouldn't it be nice if they all stood up and said to this country, Close the borders, moochers and thieves and liars out of the government and the people were again running their country again. AAAAHHHHHH, that would be so nice

in simple terms because of the fact her mom saved her from you on Memorial Day, does not recommend which you're able to hunch to her point and shop her once you would be breaking the order that's put in place. and don't be fooled, if the mother brings this up, it is not any longer proper what number circumstances you have observed the order, this one time breaking it is going to impression your case. Sorry that the newborn would be disillusioned, yet once you want to boost your possibilities of having finished custody, i could say try conserving a sparkling checklist.

4th of July is extra special for me, it's my daughter's birthday! She was nearly a month over-due, but was waiting for a day appropriate to her personality!
I think you've got a great idea there Buzz, and I'll do my part to support you in it. Name-calling accomplishes nothing, rational discussion sometimes does and we've got to keep trying.
Everyone have a great holiday! Fly the flag and give thought to what the party is all about.

Okay, Buzz. I won't call a Liberal a name on July 4th, not even a nice name. LOL! I just won't speak to one at all! That is the safest way to go about July 4th for the Libs. Stay away from me, or else I'll be tempted!
I refuse to hug one either!

PS Where's your hat?

Badgers? We don't need no stinking badgers.

OK, I'm on board

That would really be nice, Buzz. Unfortunately, asking a group of kids to act like grown ups would be like tossing a dog a bone and expecting it not to gnaw on it.

If nothing else, perhaps the kids will all be busy over the 4th and we can actually have a day of no name calling and insults. :)

we haven't had unity since september 18, 2001

even if we are attacked again people have spent these past 5 1/2 years making each side hate the other, we couldn't come together for another week, not even a day

Most of the young in our country, know nothing of patriotism , they are out for themselves and the fun they can have with the fire works.

We as parents are no longer allowed to press the issue due to the over control of our current gonvernment.

I will however fly my flag, and respect the memory of those who fought and died for our country as well as for all the veterans of our country.
