I think, when your daughter (or daughters of your friends) reach the age where they start to wear tight-fitting, revealing clothes, and start to put streaks in their hair; at that point it's time for you to stop.
The same for men (only the indicator would be your sons, or sons of friends, obviously).

I think it depends on age, body type, personal taste, and what styles your talking about because as you get older that doesn't mean you have stop wearing all younger styles. Some things that look nice at 20 will still work when your 35 and some won't. For example at 30 even 25 it doesn't exactly look nice to still be wearing ripped jeans and logo shirts from say hollister. But a nice boot cut dark wash jean will look nice at almost any age 20 to 40. As you get older you don't have to stop looking nice and young as long as you know where to draw the line and what looks appropriate for your age. At 30 you don't want to still look like you just got out of high school. As for blue streaks and stuff like that I would say stop after 20, definitely 25.

I'm over forty and I've spent much of my life working in fashion, and I think it's mostly a matter of personal taste. I really think that the words "too old" should be banished. When I was a girl I learned that 40 was too old for pants and a woman over forty should get her hair chopped short and wear a nice apron over flowered dresses at all times in the home. And a woman over twenty five should never go out in public without a prim and proper pair of white gloves and a hat. There were hundreds of these arbitrary rules, most are long forgotten. I'm happy times and tastes have changed.
I think certain things are perhaps a bit inappropriate for certain ages, such as school girl skirts, and other things you need to be rail thin, like tunics and leggings, but everything else is fair game. If someone loves it, then why not?

after about 30 i dont think people should wear younger styles, and then again if you have the right body for the clothes you could probably pull it off until a little older
i dont think one should get red purple or blue streaks after they're 25, otherwise no one would take them seriously (but its ok though if they are a musician or something) btw im 16

especially teachers
i had a teacher that wore hollister 2 school one day and it creeped me out
but
as long as u have a good body
then u could probably pull off younger styles until ur around 32, 34 maybe?

I think it mostly depends on the personality/body shape. Very few people can pull most of that stuff off after say 30 or so though. Also it depends on what style they're trying for.
I'm 16 btw

About the red, purple, and blue highlights, i would never get those no matter how much u paid me. Aeropostale, ae, hollister, and stuff like that you can wear until you start feeling too old to wear it, i guess. But if ur 40 and still wearing it, i say u need to find something else...
I'm 12.
