I have been interested in trying out some new RPG games so then I wont ever be burned out of Guild Wars. So I have been torn between World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.
So which one is worth the money to play? And Why?

I have played many online games, MMORPGs in particular. My favorite of them has been World of Warcraft. The good things about this game are the ability to learn trade skills such as:
Blacksmith - to make armor and weapons
Alchemist - to make healing potions, and etc.
Engineering - to make dynamites, guns, etc.
It also allows you to join 10 vs 10 PVP arenas, where death is no factor. You can die as often as you want with no penalty. There are 2 main games before level 50, Capture the Flag (Warsong Gulch) and a game to gather the most resources (Arathi Basin).

I've never played Vanguard, but I have played WoW and LotRO. Of the two of them, I prefer WoW. They're both good games, but WoW has been around longer, so there's a lot more content in it right now. LotRO is still a bit unfinished -- there are areas that aren't really filled out with quests and things to do yet. With WoW, there's a ton of stuff, plus the first expansion is already out. There's also a lot more people in WoW currently, so there's more you can do as far as PvP (if that's your thing).
They both offer free trials, though, so I'd say try both and whichever you like best, make a full account. =)

It's got like 140 character classes you can choose from and several races you can be. It's true 3-d graphics and is FREE to play! (Screenshots http://www.rubiesofeventide.com/screenshots.html )
Not like FLYFF or rapplez where if you want to progress you have to buy things out of their store with real money.. there's no hidden agenda, it's actually free.
And the graphics are much better than the other games I've tried like runescape and maplestory. Some people are easy to please I guess.. they play those :)
Anyway.. there is also several different types of crafting and mining, etc. Lots to do and places to explore. It's a reall fun game.
There aren't a bunch of idiots on it either .. well, depending on the server you choose anyway (the "anything goes" servers are just that) since there are constantly GMs online that moderate the chat, etc.

world of warcraft bc it has good characters, great graphics, and alot of other cool things u will have if u play the game
