How do i prevent white shirts from turning yellowish?

Using bleach will not ruin white shirts, however if you use too much bleach it can cause yellowing
try using a cup of baking soda while washing the shirts

It's an old wives trick,but my grandma used to always put white chalk on a dirty white shirt before washing it.She would just rub a little on the armpit part of the shirt,or the collar.It works!I do it to this day&I don't have to buy a whole lot of white shirts anymore.Try it.

Hi, Rit Dye makes a product called white wash as well as one for non bleachable whites. It would be in the laundry isle of your local store. I also have good luck adding some vinager when not bleaching to keep whites from yellowing. Good luck!

Get some Mrs. Stewart's Bluing at the grocery store and add it to the rinse water. Follow instructions or you will have blue tinted shirts. The blue color will cancel out the yellow in the shirts.

Instead of bleach use Oxy-clean. Bleach affects the fiber itself and can cause yellowing if you use too much bleach or with prolonged use.

However, Oxy-clean works differently. It causes the fabric to reflect more light and appear brighter as opposed to just turning it white.

You need to wash it with only white clothes and use clorox. It will help you out easily. I promise you come out white as snow. Thats what my mother and I use!
