Interior lights will not shut off. Door ajar switches are working fine - no warning light when doors are closed, warning light on when doors are open. Replaced one blown bulb, all other bulbs are working with no evidence of any shorted filiments or other problems. Thoughts?

It is possible that the switch that controls the brightness of the dash lights can be turned to full brightness and then that will also turn on the inside lights. Good luck.

This is a problem Ford has had with their interior lights for some time. I have had four Ford vehicles, all with this problem. On our Windstar, we finally pulled the fuse that controls the interior lights to get them to go off so they wouldn't keep running the battery down. The only problem with this was the fact that that fuse also controlled the electric windows. One repairman told me the best thing to do is saturate the door latch mechanism with WD40 and that will make it work better. It helped for a while. Best advice, complain to Ford. If enough of us complain, maybe they will do a recall and fix it right.
