Well, I've got huge germ issues, so this question really hit home. My fanatasy is that when they are done helping me, they take the gloves off, throw them away and put on a fresh, new, STERILE pair. The reality is that they probably wipe their hands on their shirts and start making the next food item.

You just have to make sure you saw them put the gloves on before helping you. They don't have to worry about germs getting on the money, but then the next customer who is about to receive some food from them better be sure that they put on new gloves, otherwise, it's really not doing anything more than giving the impression of a sterile atmosphere.

Ewww, I know- SO unsanitary! They're not really supposed to do that. If you read the health code, it actually states that food service employees are supposed to remove the gloves to handle money and then put on a fresh pair of gloves after each transaction, but nobody ever does that.

Next time you see it happen and then they go to start helping the next customer point out to them quite LOUDLY that they just committed a health violation and that all of the food that they just touched has to be thrown out and they need to get fresh WITH NEW GLOVES due to them contaminated it. embarrassment sometimes teaches people a lot quicker.

Good question, I was at a Tim Hortons once and ordered a bagel. I watched the girl take money and put it in the till and then she wrapped my bagel up with the same nasty gloves. I told her to make me a new one, i refused to eat it.

Or sratch their head with the gloves, and pick something up off the floor with the gloves....it has always confused me too.

Obviously they only have concern for keeping their own hands clean and germ free. Why don't you complain to the manager the next time you witness this unhealthy behaviour?
Then you can pretty well expect the food preparer to spit in your food. It's up to you, which is worse?

Bcoz they dont have time everytime to remove the gloves and again wear it for making food.They also have to take orders of others.

Because they're morons. They only wear the gloves because they have to, not because they actually care about your health.
