There's so many different award shows for that like the country music awards while there's 1 black entertainment award show that has to do with the tv station B.E.T. ; and don't the hispanics have there award show too called the Alma awards. American Latin Music Awards. So, It wouldn't be an uproar when whites dominate the awards shows already, it's just not called White Entertainment Awards it has different names like the Oscars and Emmy awards.
I tell you what there should be an uproar about where's the GBLT award show. Do gays have an award show of there own? Do we get represented on television like we should?

I'm sure there would be. there would also be an uproar if white people were prevented from appearing in lead roles in movies and television for decades. There would be an uproar if the network execs made sure no more than one or two white people appeared in any show on the air, and then only rarely.
There is a reason for these awards friend, look at the overall picture.

Some of ya’ll are full of it... anyways. Honey I know u saw some white people out there...I call that because of BET. BLACK ENTERTAIMENT TV....that don't mean white people can watch it to... now day anything people say is racist......there is a white entertainment awards...the.. get over it. Damn ya’ll make me mad... for the longest time white people had there own awards. For a matter of fact 3 of them. The TONY...EMMY...and the OSCAR...all started in the later 30s and only white people won...it is just recently that black people have start wining. don’t get mad.....but BET has recognized not just black but white and other colors to....what color do u think Robin Thick is....JUST DON'T HATE....

What is the problem with Black entertainment awards? People are bieng rewarded for making music, other sections have awards like kerrang and stuff

Nobody would watch it or attend in fear of offending every minority who thinks that they should have something specifically representing the, like the Black Entertainment Awards. White people do not deserve our own award show because 50 years ago, minorities were not represented well and descriminated against at these shows.
The funny thing is now that they are represented fairly and are included in awards like the Oscars and Grammies, they segragate themselves and create there own show. All those years of fighting to be included and to see past skin color. MLK must be rolling in his grave.

Gee, that wouldn't be fair to have an awards show with only "white" presenters and winners.That would only suggest a sense of bias and bigotry. It may also suggest that white people are trying to seperate from blacks.
I hope that this country never stoops to that level. We surely don't need that kind of one-sided ignorance.

Yep. There would be. But take into consideration that black people need to carve out a section for themselves. We are often overlooked in today's society.

labeling and catogorizing urself only classifies people. i think awards shows should stop with all this but then again the oscars are predominantly white.

Gee...since ONLY TWO Black women have EVER earned or been awarded an OSCAR...I think BEA's were created BECAUSE The OSCARS are predominantly WHITE...
