My friend is having big time problems with her Dad right now. He just won't talk to her, and he takes out all of his problems on her, and she doesn't know what to do. She sent him e-mails because it's so hard for her to talk to him. So what should she do?

Sometimes, one might need another adult to help intervene. Does your friend live with her dad? If he is not talking, then there is definitely something wrong, but she cannot accept the responsibility for that. He is an adult. Adults need to realize that their children are not pawns on a chess board. If he has issue with her for some reason, he should talk to her. If not, I would write him a letter, or send a card and let him know how I feel and that I am hurting because of his actions. I would also let him know that I would like to make things better, but cannot without his help. When he decides to come around - then they can talk - otherwise, she should just go on with her life. He needs to deal with his issues and get ir right with his daughter.

first of all your friend should not blame herself her dad could be depressed and does not know how to explain his feelings.If they were close before she should try and talk to him even in an email you can say things on paper much easier.You sound a good friend support her if she needs you take care annmac

ask her to Tell him that she loves him no matter what he does or how he treats her. once her Dad come to know how much she love him will eventually make him love her also.
