Open up regedit and click "File" and then click "Export". This will create a complete backup of the registry.

Good Luck

Open the Registry editor and click File/Export. Export the registry to your desktop or to an external source like a big thumb drive, or both.

Be careful, the registry is a dangerous place to be messing around. Think hard before you make any changes.

a registry backup is easy
just right click whichever key (looks like a folder)
and choose "Export"
then save the new .REG file to a secure location
heres a tip... name it whatever you are changing so you remember what its for if you need to replace it

If you ever took some good advise before it must have sounded like this, if you have a problem with your registry then try to rectify it with system restore because editing your registry if you dont know what you are doing will cost you money. maclaren
