He would have been the 1st PG picked if he was in the draft this year.

OJ Mayo is ranked #1 Baller in America, and he's committed to USC. He is also one of the most athletic high school players we've seen. Mayo is a 6'5 point guard. But right now, everything is unknown. Just because a player excells in high school, doesn't mean he will do as well in the NBA. We will know a little more once we've seen Mayo play with people a level higher (college) and see how well he does. In my opinion, I think Mayo will be pretty good in the NBA, possibly matching up to Dwyane Wade's level.

it's far too early to say what will come of a career that hasn't even be confirmed to start. he's not even in the draft yet and who knows what his future will bring. i hope for his sake that it brings a new attitude, cuz one thing he needs to remember is that there are a whole lot of guys out there who got game... and neither the game of basketball or the NBA does not need him to survive.
now potentially speaking....i think he has a great opportunity to be an incredible player in the league if he works at it. his game isn't perfect, and at his level of course he looks like a man among children. but that can all change in one game, being matched up against someone who can check him with good defense. or playing defense against someone who can twist him up and hit him for 30 points and 15 assists. experiences like that can be quite humbling. then the question would be how does he bounce back.
he's good in high school....college is another game...and so is the professional level. we're going to have to wait and see.
it's all up to him.

He is a good player and possibly will have a nice career in the NBA. Will he be a superstar, probably not. He so far doesn't have long range jumper and make a consistent jumper when someone is on him. He has great raw talent though and hope USC helps him develop it.

if he were in this years draft he would be a top 10 to top 15 pick
he comes straight out of high school so his has never faced comptetion like kobe bryant or tracy mcgrady
he will be a help to anyone who gets him but he needs at least half a year to blossom to a superstar

he'll be a top 3 pick in next yrs draft and at worst #5, but i think his ego will get in his way as he hasnt even played a collegiate game yet and has a rep for being selfish, acting childish when he doesnt get his way, and having problems with the law
