I have never seen a ground wire on a mower deck. Ground wires would ensure a good ground between the deck and the tractor so that electrical components on the deck would function. There usually aren't any.

I'm not familiar with that model, but I wouldn't think so.

As long as there is a ground anywhere on the mower, usually it is on the engine mount, it should be fine because there is metal-to-metal contact over the whole mower.
