Drop out now before you do something you might regret .

You are becoming a leach as it is by entering the political sciences .
Even if you become a columnist for a paper exposing the flaws of politics and keeping the fraud down just a bit you will be a leach .

Become an engineer and build something of real value for the future .
Become a doctor or nurse or researcher and help treat save and develop cures for the future .

become involved in agriculture and help feed people . or a machinist and build the equipment .

What ever you do spend 20 years working for the benefit of mankind .

Politics does not better mankind it degrades and lowers him to pandering and living off the work of others .

Oregon State? Go Beavers! Or are you from Ohio? Anyways, I was a psychology major but I did take some sociology. If you are poli-sci, then go for the Sociology degree because it ties in more with government and social programs and social dynamics of course. Psychology has a more individual and scientific basis.

I'd go for sociology, because it would help with understanding political shift. Psychology could work too... depends on how your mind works and what you plan to use the degree for.

I would go with psychology, to give you insights into how individuals think. You can always fill in the blanks with sociology later, which is the study of how groups of people react.

You should have both, though, just to make sure.

Journalism. Later, you can market yourself, and your degree, to various organizations with communication staff. If you like politics, literally thousands of organizations, not for profits, and professional organizations, need people trained in journalism combined with an affinity for politics. Good luck!

Actually, mathmatics would be best, since politicians cannot understand math concepts.
