I always thought relationship one sided with Chantelle falling hook line and sinker for Preston however he saw a way to get money and to push his band into the lime light.
It was also rebound fro Preston so just for that alone not suprised and would not be shocked if Miss french women was involved somewhere.
I think Preston is a control freak anyway made her do this and that and a bit of a stick in the mud she is way better off without him.

I was surprised until I read the reasons for their split.
Such a short time together - their honeymoon period had finished. Where's the real marriage you have to work at not run away together?
I think the whole thing is pathetic.

Their statement below:-
"After much soul-searching and tearful discussions we have sadly decided to end our marriage."
"We hope we can always remain friends and still love each other but we both think we put so much pressure on one another to make our marriage work that it has ended up destroying our relationship. No one else is involved in our decision."
"We know people will think we married too quickly on the back of Big Brother but the truth is that, what anyone thinks, we did have a whirlwind romance but we were genuinely in love with each other at the time and we will never regret our time together".
"We both believe in marriage and we never treated our vows or our commitment to each other lightly.
"We've spent hours and hours discussing whether we can salvage our marriage, give it another go, try harder, anything rather than give up"

I did originally find the relationship between Chantelle and Preston a little annoying - and unfair on Preston's girlfriend at the time of CBB - but I changed my opinion of them, and honestly thought they're relationship would be long term. It's a shame they've split due to the media, they should have been allowed some privacy.

I didn't know that had happened! If it is true, then it is sad as underneath all the media attention these two people genuinely did love each other - anyone who saw them on Big Brother could see they were really into each other. If however, it is a media stunt - then that is very sad!

I agree!
She wants worldwide fame and he wants to promote Ordinary Boys.
It's quite sad really because people like her get famous everyday off there own back and Ordinary Boys music is actually pretty good, there was no need for a publicity stunt, but the fact that it so obviously is, has hindered both there chances!

Agreed. I think most people saw that one coming. I'm just amazed that it lasted as long as it did!! He should have stuck with his previous girlfriend as they seemed to have a happy, normal relationship. Which makes me think it was all a media stunt. Didn't work though did it???? Neither of them seem to have got much out of it!

They only got married because the money was laid on the table for them, no matter what they say. When the publicity wore off, or should I say when the money stopped coming in the door their 'love' for each other flew out of the window. Their 15 minutes of fame is up. I'm surprised that she actually didn't get pregnant because if she did she would have a nice little income from him.

I didn't think it was a publicity stunt. They seemed to be in love but I knew it was doomed from the beginning. I'm sure her heart was in it but he is too unstable in a relationship. Just look how quickly he dropped his long term girlfriend after proposing to her!
I wish I had put a bet on now....

I thought they were a lovely couple and that they truly were in love - think how hard it must be for a girl to go from being a normal; girl to having photographers and reporters everywhere you go!
