am I the only one? I am no longer a virgin as I was sexually abused by my father (now sitting in jail) when I was younger. But i am not going to have sex willingly until I'm married. Are there any other teenagers who think sex is not a game. It's something that God intended for marriage. Please don't tell me I'm the only 15 yo out there with a brain.

I'm 14 and I fully intend to keep sex for marriage. After all, people could do it in the past, and at least then you know your partner actually loves you, and doesn't just want a bit of sexy time. I realise it might not work, I haven't been through the horrors you have, but I am going to try very hard.

I'm determined not to have sex before I'm eighteen at least, because then I'm legally I'm an adult. But I will probably wait until marriage anyway; I am undecided. The fact that so many ten year olds are getting pregnant and writing their sob-story all over Y!A, just makes me want to be a virgin longer! ; )

Oh honey, you have no idea how that warms my heart! As a teacher to 15 and 16 year olds, I had three pregnant students this past year! I am pretty young myself, I was with my husband for 3 years before we married. It is an awesome experience to share with your husband, not as a fun fling or a boyfriend you may have for only a few months.
Like you, I was sexually abused when I was younger, by my grandfather, and I think that also made me more aware and why I chose to wait for an honest man who wanted to share his life with me.

Awesome-ness, man! I feel the exact same way! No way in hell am I going to have sex until I'm married! I'm 13 years old, and, I know the clear consequences of being sexually active during your life.

no you r not the only one. many of my friends, including me, dont plan on having sex until we r married. u r right, God said that sex was made for marrige, and u should not have it any time before. u should be proud that u think this way. many teens dont think and they get stuck raising a baby. just remember, it doesnt matter what anyone says, u r doing the right thing. praise the lord.

I completely agree with you! I'm saving it for marriage as well. You're not alone :)
There are a lot of people who define losing their virginity as intercourse and so do everything short of that. But that's not true virginity to me... in my opinion, remaining a virgin until marriage means physically and mentally staying pure.
p.s. In my opinion you are morally, if not scientifically, a virgin.. since you didn't choose to do it.

I have mixed feelings on saving sex for marriage. Im totally fine with oral sex before marriage, but I'm definitely going to wait till marriage to go "all the way"

Personally, I don't advocate waiting until marriage. I mean, do what you want.; it's your life. The only problem here is that many people will rush into marriage at a young age when they wait like that and there is much higher rate of divorce when you marry young.
So, while it might seem all rosey, you need to think of the consequences of that too.

I waited until I was 19 because I wasn't going to be one of those loose trashy girls that gave it up to everybody. Although I wasn't married yet, I was engaged and am now married to the only person I've ever been with. I think girls that have one partner are a dying breed. I wish there were some way to make girls these days want to have more dignity about themselves.

Yeah i think it's a good idea,
i have a no intention to do it myself, It's not a game, i mean these days it's
'' Omg get laid '' And people like 11 are not virgins, Its good your waiting, but maybe when you get to like 19 or something, you might just meet a really good guy and you might give into temptation, But i think it's a good thing to hold on to.
