Well, I don't think your cousin has a serious reason for cloning an animal. I don't support that kind of cloning and I want to believe that scientists don't clone animals "for their pleasure" but just for researches on the function of mechanisms.

My family works in animal rescue. We see so many people who neglect and abuse their pets and other animals. So many people who are not responsible and let their pets breed until the numbers are so large we have no choice but to destroy the innocent animals.

The last thing we need is to start cloning pets when there are so many in shelters and bad homes that need help.

When your cousin's dog dies, tell her to go to her local ASPCA or human society and find another creature desperate for love and good care.
