sounds like someone is hitting the side of the ventilation shaft with a hammer, but it only happens once right when the fan kicks on. If you look at it, it looks fine. I get woke up all night long because my room is in the basement. I need sleep, need to be on time to work, I need help from someone who might have had the same problem, I don't want to lose this job!

most likely the noise isn't the fan but the plenum(the duct work closest to the air handler) is expanding when the fan builds air pressure against it.....this can be tough to resolve as you will need to find where it needs reinforced and take the steps to stiffen the duct where it needs it..

Try bending the blades around a bit. My neighbor had that problem except that for ages we couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from. Finally we realized it was because of a projecting fan blade and gave it a few knocks with a hammer to put it right.

Check the mounting bolts/screws on the fan housing. They may be loose and when the fan kicks on, the mounts are torqued and bang against the side of the unit.
