I watched this special on the History Channel last night about the Moon Landing being a hoax, I thought alot of the cats on their were old senile crazy men, but some of the arguments werent completely crazy, what does everyone think?
If they did fake it I would burn the white house down just for wasting all our tax dollars.
I don't realyl think they did though

By the way...I think I messed up in writing the question....I really believe that we went to the moon, although I think somepeople thought that what I said meant I believe its a hoax....sorry.
Also, hey thanks for the stars everybody...I thought it wasn't that bad of a question.

To Consider the moon landing a hoax is to abandon common sense and logic.
This is something to consider carefully: There were litterally thousands involved in the moon landing-Apollo 11 project; not ONE has come forward claiming it as a hoax.
All of the finger pointing comes from Persons whom May Have Graduated High school, maybe.
If you would agree that half the worlds PHD's would abandon science and their reputations to Hoax a moon landing Why So?
Remember, these people Live for science. This science is thier holy grail and one would thinki they would toss thier bible in a fire? No way.
I have observed many moon landing hoax shows and have, honestly, yet to hear ONE argument that held any water; these folks are really out in left field.
The show you speak of last nite had counter arguments based on evidence as opposed to theory the hoax side argued.
To me this issue is like tagging that generation with paint simply because you can.

Why does this topic always come down to being a hoax with some people? They are probably the same ones that believe the holocaust never happened too and that Bush let 9/11 happen. American astronauts did go to the moon in July 1969!!

At the time, the "Cold War" was very much alive and well. Do you honestly believe that the USSR wouldn't have come forward with accusations to the effect if the US had faked it? Both countries had each other under the microscope. I don't believe for a minute that the lunar landings were a hoax.

The History Channel loves to show these conspiracy pieces, "to ask questions". ( and get watchers). There are several web sites that totally refute this idea in great detail, but it still keeps making the rounds. Between the moon landing, JFK killing, 9/11, area 51, etc. these people must not get much sleep a lot of the time.

Good for you for not swallowing all the bilge about the manned lunar landings being faked..! Nice to see someone who can think for themself.
To help reinforce your convictions, take a look at this website where *all* the 'proofs' of a hoax are torn to shreds ==>http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

I agree with you. It would be an absolute waste of money. What did they do with all the equipment if they didn't go to the moon? idk..we will never know for sure, but I personally think that it happened as it is commonly believed

Its pretty well documented and it happened more than once. I used to question it myself but just figured that the chances the government would spend that much money to keep so many people quiet would be low. Plus, why would they fake it multiple times?
My old planetary prof brought Harrison Schmidt to visit us once and both of those guys would cut you if you even hinted it was fake.

It was not faked. There were way too many people involved in the project to keep something like that a secret.

OK it was obviously real. We had no real reason to fake it. If we did why do it SIX times. if there was something to hide then this rule would take effect.

I agree with you. A lie would be an outrage, so I don't think it was a lie.
ONE DAY Russia or China or India is going to go there and they will want to see the US relics!
