In my opinion he should be. I am interested in what you all think. Please give reasons why he should be inducted if you think he should be. Give me some reasons why you don't think he should be.

Alright first of all it is a damn shame that this is what he will be remembered for. Benoit was one of the best that the WWE has ever had and that most people have ever seen. Over the course or his career he was a great man and wrestler.

It is a wrestling hall of fame, not a personal hall of fame. People get inducted for their relationships with wrestling and their wrestling backgrounds. To not let him in because of this takes away from the greatness of the hall of fame. He wuld make it even better.

And by the way, Eddie Guerrero and Mr. Perfect both dies because of their drug use. SHould they be taken out of the hall of fame because of their actions outside the ring. They may be less severe(that is if the results are true) but along the same lines kinda.

BENOIT = NUMBER 1 And is a hall of famer no matter what

To answer the question, he deserves to be in the hall of fame but it does not look good =(

No he shouldn't. He might have been great in the ring, but considering he did kill his family, then himself would override all of that. The thing is, he was a role model for many people, including kids, and he was a wrestler 24/7, and no matter what he did, people were going to look up to him, or in this case down on him for any actions he did.
If he would have been caught doing drugs or something like that, he would have to face the punishment. We would have to do jail time or pay a fine, and the WWE would have to step in also and "punish" him, simply because he represented the WWE.

In the military, we are soldiers, sailors, Airmen and Marines 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. We signed up for this, and we live the life all the time, Chris did the same thing, he knew what was expected of him, he just failed to live up to those expectations. He couldn't handle it, so he decided the easy way out, he ended his life and his family's lives. He is a loser, and he shouldn't be inducted into any halls of fame. I agree, the WWE needs to distance themselves from this, move on with whatever story they have next, and put this in the past. I am certain that the WWE doesn't condone murder.

I don't believe that the WWE will ever induct Chris into the Hall of Fame. Reason #1 is because the WWE is taking enough heat right now over this and why cause more contraversy than they really have to.

#2.Why would the WWE induct a man that is being considered a murderer. If the WWE decided to induct him then people would believe that WWE supports what is being considered that Chris done and that the WWE supports murderers.

I think he probably should be. But they're probably not going to induct him into the hall of fame because it looks like WWE is trying to get rid of everything that had something to do with Chris Benoit

Since Vince McMahon ultimately decides who gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and the fact that Benoit is going to be remembered for this horrific act than his wrestling career in the eyes of the general public, and the WWE's decision to clean their hands of him, the chances are slim and none. As long as the McMahon family owns the WWE, Benoit is never going in.

I think he should be, he isn't being honored as an outstanding citizen, he is an outstanding wrestler and should be honored as such, besides, I think being a good family man isn't a criteria for being inducted into the wrestling hall of fame

Yeah, its a tragedy what happened but, looking back at Benoit's career, he was one of the best. He is in the top 10 of the best. He paid his dues and it paid off. His match with Shawn Michaels and HHH at Wrestlemania 20 was a classic match. He deserved that belt and he deserves to be put into the Hall of Fame. If he is, it will most likely be at WM 24. I would love to believe that he didn't kill his family, but it looks apparent. Yes, WWE is trying to move on from this tragedy, which is why i think his induction will be at WM 24. To get it over with and not to drag his name on too long. alot of people say that he will be missed. Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and son Daniel will all be missed. God bless the Benoit family.

He should be inducted because he was one of the very best technical wrestlers the business had to offer, he had a very big heart, tons of courage and a passion for the WWE that very few people can say they've ever had.

Now, if WWE takes death, and personal lives, as an influence of whether or not to induct somebody into the Hall, I'm not sure. Nobody's perfect, people will commit crimes and serve jail time, but death is a different story. Chances are, however, I doubt it'll happen.

If he did it... Absolutely not. The WWE needs to do a lot of image work. Part of that is distancing themselves from this. Also, think of all the great stories that are told, and how much fun that night is.... Who would do the inducting, and how would the crowd react if he is known to be killer?

With all his rage he's still just a rat in a cage--or will be --prison is all they will induct him into---Pete Rose wasn't inducted (in the baseball hall) and he only gambled!
