Tell me your story!

Here is mine - I met Bon Jovi. A few years ago I won a radio contest for tickets to the Thanksgiving Day football game Bon Jovi was doing the half time show at. We got to go on the field for the performance and then meet the band after. They were all really nice, and it was just an amazing experience. So unexpected too - I thought we just got the tickets; we didn't find out about the other stuff until halfway through the first quarter. So fun!

Ace - I see your point and I realize that is can be aggravating to see spelling and grammatical errors in things like the newspaper, the church bulletin, or a letter from your child's teacher. But this is Yahoo Answer's. It is supposed to be fun, so please lighten up. You are correct about my error but by pointing it out to me, you are also correct that you took your self out of the running for Best Answer. Hope it feels good to always be right.

All the best to you.

I met Gordon Lightfoot a few years a go. Also, I spent about a half hour speaking with Geraldine Ferraro when she was running for Congress.

This will probably lose me any chance of being chosen best answer, but I must point out that, despite how often it is now head, "So fun" is not grammatically correct. As you are using it, "so" is an adverb and can not modify the noun "fun." What you meant to say is that it was "So much fun."

I'm probably going to make a lot of enemies when I tell you that I once met George W. Bush.

I was in my high school marching band when, 3 years ago, George W. Bush came to a local airport for a rally. Our band was invited to perform for him. We provided music for the crowd before he arrived and played "Hail To The Chief" as he and Laura Bush descended the stairs of "Air Force 1." Regardless of who he was, it was still an honor to be in the presence of, and perform for a current U.S. president.
