Okay. My dad put me on a curfew. I have to shut the computer down at 2 am. I sneaked on the computer at 5 am, and some how he knew about it. I noticed that ever since we got windows vista he's caught me with porn, and its like he knows my every move some how. Are there any kind of special features on Vista? By the way I deleted all my porn evidence, and he still found it!

Well here is the way your dad is doing it, Windows vista has a built in software that monitors all things that people do in there different accounts for example in one computer you say you have an account for mom , dad, and you, your dad can know what everyone does and at what time, its call parental control, there is no way to shut it down with out the password. The software saves the pages everyone looks in that computer, and what files were open and what new files were made. He is probably using a keylogger or a more detailed monitoring program that records dates, times and places visited. When the computer admininistrator installs software like that they can make it almost invisible to other users. There is not much you can do about it.
There is one solution (if the software is installed in windows). You can get a Linux LiveCD. There are a bunch of different versions out there. Baisically, the live cd will boot linux into your computers RAM. Windows does not start and it never access your HD (unless you hit save and save something on it). There is a possability he is using a hardware keylogger, but unlikely. Make sure there is nothing plugged inbetween the keyboard and the tower.

Windows Vista comes with a new feature called User Account Control (UAC). It records when the computer is used and by what user and it records and can deny violence and porn and other stuff like that. UAC can also be set to allow users to use the computer only at certain time periods. But don't worry. There are ways to cheat it. :P By the way: Your father is doing a good job.

is it a cd rom or a dvd rom? I know I had that problem when I got SPORE. It worked for one computer and not the other. Turns out that it was a dvd rom and some computers can't read them. To find out if its a dvd rom or cd rom, look for some tiny words around the hole. They should say which it is. If that doesn't work, you can try opening the command prompt and typing in autorun.exe - that should work if the disc is being read but not popping up with the application. Are you getting any error messages? Those could be useful in determining your problem.

It doesn't need to be a computer experts to know what you've done in the PC.
Windows operating system has a log and history of used applications, internet address, executed files, the times PC is on/off etc. Almost everything is recorded.
You can delete the history and log in internet history, event viewer and recently opened documents.
Files which were deleted into Recycle Bin are easy to recover. To delete a file completely, you can use Shift+Del.
Files which were deleted with Shift+Del are easy to recover with a third party software.
To delete totally a file and can't be recover, use a software called file shredder.
