Use your garden hose. If you are worried about the bill, call the water company and let them know what you are doing. They will probably give you a bulk rate or a flat rate to divert the cost.

You could also hit up the fire dpeartment, just becauseful because sometimes they use lake or resevoir water which can be a bit brackish and have sticks and stuff in it - good for fighting fires but not so good for swimming in so just make sure you ask them first!

Good luck!

There's actually a company that delivers pool water??? Back when I was a kid, we either used the garden hose or had the water truck from the fire department help us out.

My parents had a well when we were growing up (actually, they still do...city water has yet to make it that far) and the well was not dried up by doing that. Only if you are in a major drought should that be a concern.

we have the fire company come and fill ours up- they usually do it for a reasonable fee based upon the amount needed to fill up your pool. call your local department and see if they offer the service.
