No hesitation here.

Death Valley. Midnight.

I would have him sit, silently, for an hour or two.

Then let him listen to the supposedly barren and sterile landscape come alive. Let him hear the little ticks and scraping noises of hidden and unseen creatures.

Then I would point out a plane at 35,000 feet moving across the black sky. Millions of miles away from the stars behind it. Perhaps one of them being his sun.

Let him revel in the beauty of sound and sight in a place that is magical, while we wait for the sunrise to transform the world around us into a place of light and warmth.
