That is silly to not let you leave the building on your break. You should be able to do what you want as long as you are back on time. Here is advice I recently gave my sister, play stupid and lie your way out of it if you get in trouble.

If it's something that you really must do; you should tell your supervisor about the urgency of it and hope they will allow you to go. If you go anyway without saying something; something may happen to you being in a rush. Times like this are when weird thing happen.
