Whenever she buys clothes for people(little kids) they have to look like what she wears and SHE has to like it. and She has to always buy toys like silly putty and crayons too only? why does she do that?

Grannies are really like that. Perhaps, there's a sentimental memory or something in it she really likes. Something that looks good and awesome. Grandma's are really like that and it is like, they want everything seem to be cute and cuddly or even something they can remember happily in the past.

I know that my Mom always said to us growing up, "when you buy someone a gift, you know it's a good one if you'd like to have it yourself". So, maybe that's why. I do think that most of us try to buy things for others that "they" will like, but I know that it's usually something I like, too. It's just human nature to buy things you like. When your Grandma was raising her kids, silly putty and crayons were the sure thing to entertain a child. She's just going by what she knows.

As far as the toys grandmas prefer the child have a toy to play *with* not the other way around. It invites a child to use their creative skills and make their own fun.
As far as the clothing the child only wears them a few times so perhaps then they could be passed onto those who would appreciate them more. Most grandparets don't get into buying mirco minis for their grandsweeties.

She may think if she likes it you will .She may not be comfortable seeing you in the clothes you like she may feel they are too reveling.She may have played with Silly Putty and liked to color when she was young .If you don't like the clothes she picks out ask to go shopping with her so you can show her what you like. If you don't want to go shopping find pictures of clothes you like and show them to her but don't hurt her feelings tell her you love her.but you want to dress like your friends

Because she wants to and if you don't like what she buys buy your own stuff for the little kids or who ever . if you don't have the money because you are too young to work then its too bad for now,you should be grateful your grandma cares enough to buy you anything. be happy and thankful for what you have like Grandma!

well, grannies are all like that. it makes her feel good buying stuffs what she likes. maybe because during their days she is used to seeing kids with those kind of toys and crayons. grannies arent that updated anymore, honestly! so, be patient with her and jz go with her flow.... anyway it makes her happy! :-)

she's basically living her toddler years through the kids. Something she hansnt experienced or missed during her childhood, she's expressing on other people.
