No it isn't. See this blurb from Norton (even though you do not have any Norton products)
Note: Only use one anti-virus product. Running more than one can cause conflicts thus rendering each ineffective.

I don't think it is safe to install both.I have installed Norton and AVG at the same time.It does not work out.Scanning will be done by both the antiviruses.Scanning one file may affect the scanning of the same file by the other antivirus. It may result in hanging of the system.Better go with Kaspersky......

Why not...double the protect and one might find a virus the other didn't see. I have two different scans on my machine at home. I was reccommend to get these two anti-virus by the IT guys at work...so I would say if Ok with expert then it ok for you. I only run one at a time.

It depends on the programs and the systems. Sometimes anti virus programs clash with each other, even if they are not both running at the same time.

I think only one anti-virus will run on your computer. But if you install another, I am not sure whether the new one will take over or you'll have the option of disabling one of them.

You should always use more than one anti-virus software, as 1 may pick up what the other(s) may not.
Only have 1 active at a time though!

It's safe...just not efficient. Leaving one off realtime scanning is a good idea or you could get conflicts and neither will end up quarantining a discovered virus cause they 'fight' each other for it.

its definately not safe to have them running at the same time i know that, im sure that you just have to make sure that all areas of one anti-virus are closed down when running the other
