90% of the time the throw out bearing will go out at the same time the clutch is going out. Plus, the cost of the pressure plate and clutch pad are small in camparison of the cost of pulling the transmission. you are only talking about an extra $100 - $150 for a job that is going to run you about $700.

Do you have to? No, you don't. Should you??? Yes. The worst part of the labor is already done, so no sense in having to pay for it again. Go ahead and replace the clutch disc, and you may even want to replace the pressure plate too. Then it is done and you have a new clutch, just like the day it was made. Good luck.

If your pulling the transmission to replace the throw-out bearing, you may as well do the clutch at the same time.
