I deal poker and it is from high to low, spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs. It is in reverse alphabetical order. So if you are cutting for the button, the nuts would be the ace of spades. But in a game of stud it is the lowest door card that brings in the action, so if you have the 2 of hearts, and the 2 of clubs, then the 2 of clubs would be the bring in here.

I thought all the suits had the same rank. However an ACE can be either classed as high or low, depending on which game your playing, otherwise the King is the highest ranking card regardless of its suit.

Spades is awlays the highest ranking suit. In terms of suit it goes like this, Spades,Diamonds,Hearts,Clubs. Now this is the tradtional ranking. People play however they want. But this is the right way. A Ace of Spades is higher then a Ace of Hearts. But you have to be plaing a game where suit matters. Like in poker the suit doesnt really matter a Ace is Ace but there are other games where suit does matter like in spades or hearts.
