If you are sure you did not delete anything then it is possible to restore it back to previous condition. Just do this.

Look at the Green Tab says Start down left. Click on it then
All Programs/ then Accessories/ then System Tools/then Restore System. Click this finally and a window will be opened follow the screen guidance and choose the day when your PC was working fine keep following screen guidance and complete the process.

I am sure without any problem you computer will be back to its normal positon. This is the safest way to restore computer setting. By doing this it will not delete or change anything.

Hope this will help you.

I have no idea what the problem with your computer is, but when I had trouble opening media software, I tried VLC player and I haven't had a problem since. VLC player opens most everything including files that Windows Media Player will not open. I love it. Works for me great.
Here is a link to download it.
