First choice is best, sophisticated and masculine.

I agree with Eric. On our second date, my now-husband gave me a silver rope bracelet. While I had never received anything that nice from any other guy in the past, I was still a bit wary, but didn't go running in the opposite direction. Since I'm not a jewelry person, I don't wear it often. (I still have it, of course.) Also, does your boyfriend even want jewelry? I think they're both rather elaborate and expensive to begin with. My husband's and my 14K wedding rings, combined, didn't cost as much as one of those bracelets (including sizing for my husband's ring). Besides, what you two break up? Who gets "custody" of the bracelet? He could sell it and keep the money.

Other than the ring, the only other piece of jewelry I've gotten my husband is a Timex watch (on sale for only $10) with a silver face and frame.

Even after being together for nine years and married for six, I sitll wouldn't want something that elaborate from my husband. It's expensive and impractical.

This is just my two cents, though.

You start throwing this much money at a boyfriend he might be scared away.
Not to mention that most men are not as thrilled as women to wear bling. If he is not a Peacock then he probably is not going to jump for joy.

I think #2 for sure. The first one might be a little less masculine. I don't know your man, but #2 is prolly a safer bet.

I like the first one. I gave my ex-boyfriend the first one for our two year anniversary. He was never a jewelery man but he wore it all the time.

I say your quite the girlfriend to purchase him a bracelet like this I would not engrave it until you know he likes it since usually once personalized you can't return. Plus if his name is like Michael would he might want Mike engraved instead. things to think about before actually getting this.

That rectangle link is unique. Won't see too many others rocking that one. Go with unique.
