Sure, but let one of the other prisoners do it with an ax. . .Seriously, this is a ridiculous lawsuit that should have been thrown out of court. I hope that the only reason the judge is hearing it is to eliminate these frivolous suits once and for all with a well reasoned, informed opinion. Prisons have to provide basic medical needs; while I do not minimize the psychological impact of the transgendered, he lived long enough to commit his crimes without the operation on the outside I think he can survive without it on the inside.

I am a super liberal person, do belive in prisoner rights and all that junk. But even I have to call foul on this crap.
i don't care how sad this dude is that he is a dude, but f*ck him. Why should my taxdollars pay for every cosmetic sergory that a prisoner wants. What if his cellmate wants peck implants, or another one wants a nose job, where does it stop.
And why should a prisoner get all these special surgeries when if he was homeless or just plain poor the government would not give a sh*t that he is a "man trapped in a woman's body."

No, there are alternative methods of reducing high blood pressure and coping with diabetes.
According to the artical they have spent $52,000 of taxpayers money already on this joke of an case.
The medical staff advocating the sex change should be stripped of their licenses to practice medicine.

It's bad enough they get free food, cable, healthcare and education they will never use. I agree with the person above me who said to let the other prisoners do it with an axe.

Absolutely not. Why should convicted felon inmates get elective surgery funded by taxpayers when normal citizens don't even get that kind of free treatment.

No way! It's bad enough we taxpayers have to pay for his/her free room & board for the rest of their life. Why should we have to pay for a sex-change operation??? What good will that do?
