Bao Xishun, also known as Xi Shun or "The Mast" (Simplified Chinese: 鲍喜顺; Traditional Chinese: 鮑喜順; born in China, 1951), is a herdsman from Inner Mongolia and, since January 15, 2005, has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's tallest living man.

Measured at 2.361 metres (7 ft 8.95 in) tall at the Chifeng City Hospital, Bao Xishun has no growth disorder like gigantism — unlike the tallest man ever, Robert Wadlow, and the tallest living man claimants, Leonid Stadnyk and Ajaz Ahmed. Stadnyk and Ahmed claim a height of 2.54 metres (8 ft 4 in), but their claims are controversial, and not currently accepted by Guinness. One other, Vikas Uppal, has claimed to be over 8 feet tall, but likewise this has not been independently verified.

if you mean the tallest man ever then it would be Robert Wadlow of illinois who was 8"11 and died at the age of 22. Currently it would be Leonid Stadnik of the Ukraine who is 8 "4 but not in the guinness book of records but XISHUN who is 7ft 8.95 inch holds the guinness world record

Leonid Stadnik from the Ukraine at 8ft 4in and still growing!
He is 7in taller than the man from China, But he doesn't like that he is so tall, and won't let the Guinness world record people verify this. They know he is taller, but won't make it official because he won't cooperate with them.

He's Chinese or Japanese, can't remember which, but I believe he's like 7'9". He saved a dolphin a while back, the dolphin had swallowed something and the doctors couldn't get it out with their equipment so they had him use his really long arms and he was able to get it out!
