Is Griffey still worth trading for if you are a title contender? Is he washed up? He has roven he can still swing the bat, but his injuries are the issue with him now? i don't think he will last the entire season in Cincy. Either himself or Dunn will go. This is a very very good team offensvly, but the pitching is horrible. I would like to see the guy make it to atleast one World series. Plus he might have to come to the AL soon to dh.

There is much more involved than which one of the two should be traded. Griffey is a better player than Dunn when he is healthy but he is a lot older with a history of health issues. Dunn, I believe, Would actually have better trade value than Griffey. However, Dunn has a clause in his contract that says he can become a free agent the following year if he is traded. That means that the team that takes him in a trade better be able to sign him the next year or they come up a loser. I really believe the answer to your question is up to Griffey himself. If he thinks he has a few good years left and wants to go out a winner the Reds will grant his wish. If he wants to end his career with the Reds they will trade Dunn, but you will not see both happen.

IF Griffey gets traded, he definitely would help a contender, his numbers are good this year. However, it's very likely that he won't get traded this year, which is a shame. I would love to see him get a shot at a World Series at least once before he retires.

My only thought is that it's a shame he didn't stay healthy in his earlier years with the Reds. If you calculate what he normally does into those injury years, he would have close to 700 HRs by now.
