There are different kinds of trills on a trombone. The first type, and possibly the easiest, is the the slide trill. This is where the player moves the slide between two notes. This is also most like the way other, valved instruments trill. I've found that this type of trilling is more common in jazz type music.

Another way a trombone player can trill, and what I have found to be the most common, is called a lip trill. This technique is a bit more difficult. To do this, the player goes between two notes, but keeps the same slide position, in other words trilling between partials. This is basically a fast lip slur. This type of trill takes fast air and a precise embrasure.
