We (the U.S.) used nuclear weapons in order to save American lives by ending war with Japan without having to do a full scale ground invasion. Japan attacked us. It was a defensive maneuver (counter attack).

As far as being the agressor in history I'm not sure which war you are talking about? Korea - when North Korea invaded South Korea? Vietnam when we opposed the spread of communism (because that worked out so well in the Soviet Bloc, Cuba, China) to protect the quality lives of its citizens? The Gulf War when Hussein invaded Kuwait? Afghanastan when the World Trade Center was attacked? Iraq II - when Hussein vilated every condition of his defeat in the Persian Gulf War before we went back after him?

The only times you could argue we were the agressor was in our Revolution when I guess technically it was illegal for us to revolt against the taxation and repression of Britain. Or the Spanish-American War, when we just wanted more land (which we got - hooah).

Since you are checking on your history of the USA, do some more research. America is a young country it should be easy. Most wars fought by America were not started by America but threats from over seas. And would you want a nuclear war going on. If one starts it effects everyone.

I'm pretty sure America wasn't the aggressor in World War II. Check your facts

I am from the USA
Its very interesting to read your perspective on us.
Americans see it quite differently, as we are the ones most subject to the blah-blah rhetoric that comes from the White House. Wars that we engage in are sold to us like a slick product, hard to dispute, hard to resist. We don't take the time to read the foreign press for a different point of view.
I think the entire world is fearful of nuclear wars, but fear of war is hardly the reason we go to war...(Money and power is)

See the movie "Why We Fight"

I think America are the bad guy sometimes I think that America should stay out of some stuff that may get them hit by a nuclear bomb by North Korea cause they already messed with Iraq and look at where they are at now the same spot as the was last time

were not the bad guys. it is our duty as a leading world nation to make sure that everybody is safe and healthy. we may have our own problems but in some areas of the world, people are faring a lot worse so don't think that were the bad guys because most people look up to us for support and guidance.

No, we're not the bad guys. We're the ones who are called on to fix other countries' sh*tty, f*cked up messes. Then we get blamed for being the bad guys because we're trying to help. Go figure!

We were the aggressors in the Indians wars but I am proud of our history just the same. It was the age of kicking butt and aggressive expansion.
